Where birth support meets health Coaching
High-quality health, wellness, & birth support
…none of the B.S!
The health and wellness world is a lot like the Wild West. There is a lot of information out there! Some is confusing, conflicting, predatory, and downright wrong. I have tried EVERYTHING in my personal journey to good health, and I’ve sifted through the research, blogs, articles, podcasts, and coursework so that you don’t have to, and here is what I have learned about health.
This sh*t should not be complicated. It’s simple. The truth is in our genes, it’s inside all of us. Diet and lifestyle changes should not be stressful, overwhelming, or out of reach. This is accessible to all of us, and truthfully, good nutrition and high-quality gene expression is a birthright.
Health, nutrition, and dietary ideologies on their own can run unregulated as trends, propaganda, and misinformation and get us truly lost about how our bodies are supposed to work. This confusion steers us away from the one thing we all have in common; 2.3 million years of human evolution, along with genes that haven’t changed much since the dawn of our birth as a species!
When I combined my love of holistic nutrition, childbirth, & human evolution, I realized this was where the truth lies. Humans are so simple; we have just lost our way.
When I read about a new dietary recommendation or trend, I always ask myself, “Would we have done that back in the old days? Does this make sense in terms of our historical human experience? ” If the answer is no, I’m less likely to subscribe to it. With this knowledge in place, I can appropriately guide my clients toward habits and behaviors that make sense for them and for us as a collective.
I am not here to shame you for where you are. I was once where you are.
My job is to listen to you, provide educational resources, cheer you on, and remind you of your power while you remember what you have known all along.
Thanks for being here,
I can’t wait to meet you!

What is health coaching?
This may be a surprising concept, as many of us have the expectation that a coach is the teacher and the client is the student.
This couldn’t be further from the truth, at least in my opinion.
I like to zoom out from this paradigm that I am the leader and you are the follower. I really don’t like it at all, and I think a special coaching relationship requires not only more nuance, but more from YOU, the client. Here’s what I mean:
You don’t need me to tell you what to do, you just need help uncovering what you already KNOW to be true. We are all inherently wise. It is my job to help you tap into your wisdom.
You may not need MORE information, you may just need support in implementation. Often times, we know our own bodies. We know our own needs. We just might not know HOW to build those habits. This is where I step in!
Do you really need to make massive, sweeping, wholesale changes to every aspect of your life? Or do you just need to be cheered on as you tackle small, meaningful changes that are actually sustainable?
Do you really need to embark on the latest health and wellness trends, or do you just need encouragement to make health and wellness moves that align with your values?
Rather than an entire diet and lifestyle overhaul, maybe you just want to utilize the resources already available to you!
Do you need to only be accountable to your coach, or would you like to learn how to be accountable to yourself?
Health Coaching is a partnership.
What is a birth doula?
“A doula is a trained professional who provides continuous physical, emotional, and informational support to their client before, during, and shortly after childbirth to help them achieve the healthiest, most satisfying experience possible.” -DONA International
I serve women in many ways as a birth doula
I help cheer women on during birth, either at home, at a birthing center, or in a hospital. Witnessing women in their most powerful moments is a true privilege, and I’m so grateful to be able to do this work!
I provide educational resources to help women prepare for birth and explore their options. Many women don’t realize how many options they have! I relay the risks and benefits of all procedures and opportunities through the labor process so that women feel they have the power to make informed choices during birth!
I offer comfort measures during labor to assist mothers in managing labor challenges. I act as a solid, stable emotional comfort because sometimes labor can feel overwhelming. I am here to remind mothers that they are safe and that what they may experience during labor is completely normal. I believe you were born to be a mother and that your body is wise and knows what to do.
I act as a voice on behalf of laboring mothers in the hospital so that all they have to do is give birth, not worry about being given a drug they may not want, or be bombarded with questions, loud noises, intrusive family members, or bright lights, etc. Birth requires mindfulness, presence, concentration, and rest, so I help advocate for adherence to the birth plan so that the mom’s needs and wishes are at the forefront of every decision.
In a home birth setting, I often show up before midwives to support women through early labor. Later on I may even assist midwives or act as an extra set of hands for miscellaneous tasks like photography, video, clean-up, and support after birth and postpartum.
Lastly, I have an added specialty sprinkled into my doula practice, and that is the option for nutritional guidance and/or health and wellness coaching throughout pregnancy.
